Overview
Strat-Fin is a Strategic Financial Planning tool specifically developed for independent schools to help the Management Team and Board of Trustees plan for a sound financial future. This comprehensive software package provides educational institutions with the ability to incorporate the long-range operational plan into a financial model and forecast the financial implications of planned strategic and tactical (operational) decisions.
The model allows the user to make assumptions about student population trends, tuition, tuition growth, annual giving and other sources of revenue and project future revenue streams. This revenue forecast combined with assumptions about expenses and cost increases provides a clear financial picture of the long-term operating strength of the school and indicates when additional capital is needed. The model also allows school administrators to forecast capital project funding needs, identify financial gaps in current capital campaigns and see the complete impact on endowment. Key Strategic Financial indicators are provide for selected years over the strategic planning horizon.
